San Diego Mayoral Write-In Candidate Loses First Round in Court

Late today, a Superior Court Judge in California ruled that Donna Frye was not elected Mayor of San Diego, even though she received more votes than any of her opponents. An appeal is being pursued.

    “A ruling allowing the disputed ballots to be counted “would have been a big disappointment for the more than 150,000 people who voted for me and felt I should win,” [Dick Murphy] said.”

    What about the even greater number of people who voted for Frye and felt that she should win?
