Physics Professor Seeks Libertarian Presidential Nomination in 2008

April 16th, 2006

On April 15, Physics Professor George Phillies of Massachusetts declared his intent to become the Libertarian Party’s presidential nomination. He has run for congress in 1996 and 1998 as a Libertarian, and has long been active in the party. He says Karen Kwiatkowski has agreed to serve as his vice-presidential running mate, if he is nominated. Kwiatkowski is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Air Force and an expert on foreign policy.

  1. Citizens For A Better Veterans Home Says:

At least Reformer/Democrat Bob Bowman (Reform Party USA Primary Election/Convention 2000 candidate for President) had stated positions on (the MANY) substandard veterans programs.
Any bets on “Small Government” Lt. Col. Kwiatkowski never ever getting around to demanding the sunset (abolishion!) of counter productive local, state, and national veterans agencies?
Except for the brilliant exceptions (Libertarian Mike Metti for California Lt. Governor) the Lib’s silence on veterans care campus DEATHS, the illegal Ferres Doctrine, and the immoral Concurrent Conscript is deafening!

  2. George Whitfield Says:

I am glad that Phillies and Kwiatkowski have officially announced their campaign. The Libertarians need to get an early start so as to better use their resources and lay the groundwork for a potentially significant result.
