		<description>Here&#039;s a step in the direction of getting Mr. Welty some net action :-)

I started a wiki page on Mr. Welty&#039;s camapaign in the Unity Wiki. Anyone in the world can edit it... like on wikipedia. You can see his page (and edit it if you&#039;re interested) at: http://unitysupporters.com/wiki/index.php?title=Harry_Welty

Good luck and hope we win!

		<description>Thanks for mentioning Harry&#039;s campaign. I&#039;m Harry&#039;s campaign manager. We&#039;d be happy to hear from people with thoughts, ideas, and suggestions on the campaign and strategies, particularly ways to use the internet to get out the word and get people interested and involved. Heck, even good jokes help; they certainly can&#039;t hurt.</description>

		<description>Hello Richard,

You said you&#039;d mention my campaign and this is one of the reasons I think I&#039;ll have more traction than I generatted in 1992 when I first ran for Congress. I didn&#039;t have the money then. I don&#039;t have it now but the Internet is a big leveler. An expert told me that something like seventy percent of our voters have internet access although some of it is only dial up.

I&#039;ve got a website I&#039;m hoping will engross voters for a lot longer than the annoying thirty second spots that they will be innundated with in October.

Check it out: www.welty4congress.org or check out my blog: www.lincolndemocrat.org

		<description>&gt; Richard Winger asked:
&gt;
&gt; In 2004, Liberty Union refused to nominate the
&gt; Socialist Party&#039;s national ticket.
&gt; Notwithstanding
&gt; that, Walt Brown got the highest Socialist
&gt; Party
&gt; presidential vote total since 1952.
&gt;
&gt; Now, though, Liberty Union seems to be holding
&gt; itself
&gt; out as the Vermont state unit of the Socialist
&gt; Party.
&gt; Seems inconsistent to me. Does Liberty Union
&gt; have any
&gt; regrets about its presidential nomination in
&gt; 2004?
&gt;
&gt;
*************************************
&gt; Phil Sawyer replies:
&gt;
&gt; The Liberty Union Party of Vermont should
&gt; affiliate with SPUSA - just like the Peace and
&gt; Freedom Party of California should. (Most of
&gt; you know, by now, that I gave up on waiting for
&gt; that or anything like it to happen with PFP and
&gt; changed my registration to the Green Party of
&gt; California - which, thankfully, already is
&gt; affiliated with a national Party). In the
&gt; SPUSA, we can only take baby steps for now and
&gt; get the Party organized and ready for the
&gt; coming Revolution!
&gt;
*****************************************

Citizens For A Better Veterans Home comments:

Don Lake and others whom have researched American
reformers all the way back to Ben Franklin and
Thomas Paine more than under stand an even
moderately sucessful local/ state effort to be reluctant to
permanently fuse with a more established or
bigger organization. Such wooing and permanent
fusion (and later betrayal) of the Perot like
1892 Populists Party (of Grange, farmer/ rancher,
small town, anti rail road, anti Robber Baron
base) by the seemingly &#039;friendly&#039; Democratic
Party (North, West and Dixie branches) doomed the rural
Progressives as a national force.

Philip Sawyer, John Coffey, Tish Firmiss and
Lake are Perot/ Perot/ Nader/ Nader voters, even
while members of various parties. Eugene Debbs
won over a million votes for POTUS in 1920 while in federal prison (via the FBI) and
we did not see the logic of P&amp;F&#039;s punnie, frail
imitations.

Not everyone takes the &#039;marriage&#039; leap like (U.
S. Constitution Party permanent locals)
California&#039;s American Independent Party and
Nevada&#039;s Independent American Party. How ever we
(and others) still do not see why one state or
regional minor and micro parties do not eagerly
affiliate with more national figures or
organizations on national efforts or elections.

Ya do not have to be a Democan or a Republicrat
to be felon stupid! (Greens rebuffing Nader,
Peace and Freedom&#039;s prisoner brigades, and every
one allowing the millions of unattended National
Law Party registered voters to slide into
oblivian after April 2004, come readily to mind!)

Permanent fusion can be the road to ruin.
Election by election association (in the true,
original, more proper use of the word!) can be
the road to victory!
