  1. Gene Berkman Says:

Connecticut will have a crowded ballot for Senate. In addition to Lamont, Lieberman, Schlesinger (R) John Mertons is the candidate of the Independent Party, and there are candidates from the Green Party and the Concerned Citizens Party.

    Finally some choice.

  2. Phil Sawyer Says:

    Hey, “the more the merrier”!

Conneticut must not have a “Sore Loserman Law.”

  3. Jonathan Cymberknopf Says:

I hope Lieberman wins so Third Party and Independent hopefuls will have an ally in Congress when they decide to run.

  4. Kyle B Says:

Lieberman has said if he wins as independent he will caucus with Democrats. So I don’t see him starting to back other independents

  5. Brad Says:

If re-elected can’t Lieberman just change his party affiliation from Independent to Democrat once he returns to the Senate in Jan 2007?

  6. Phil Sawyer Says:

Tuesday was a wonderful day for the Peace Movement! That was just the tip of the iceberg, also.

  7. Mike Gillis Says:

Considering the amount of Nader/spoiler villification that Lieberman has slung since 2000, I doubt he would be a friend to third party ballot access if elected.

As Brad says, he can simply just re-join one of the two major parties (sort of a reverse Jim Jeffords) if elected.
