Indiana Bill to Move Primary from May to March

Indiana State Senator Tim Lanane, Democratic leader in that body, has introduced SB 296, to move the primary from May 6 to March 6. The bill would not have any effect on independent or minor party candidate petition deadlines.

    Minor correction: SB 0296 would move the Presidential Primary from the first Tuesday after the first Monday in May (6 May 2008) to the first Tuesday after the first Monday in March (4 March 2008).
