Rasmussen Poll on How Voters Self-Identify

A Rasmussen Reports poll released on June 1 gives these results, when U.S. adults are asked to describe themselves politically: Democrats 36.3%; independents or others 32.9%; Republicans 30.8%. The poll was based on 15,000 responses.

Also on June 1, the McLaughlin Group PBS television show spent the entire 30 minutes discussing the possibility that there may be a strong “other” candidate in the 2008 presidential race.
