Louisiana State Treasurer Switches Parties Just Before Running for Re-Election
August 27th, 2007On August 27, Louisiana Treasurer John Kennedy said he has changed his registration from “Democratic” to “Republican” and that he will run for re-election on October 20, 2007 as a Republican. Louisiana elects all its state officials on that day. Kennedy has already had two terms as State Treasurer.

Louisiana will also elect its parish (county) officials on October 20, with runoffs later where needed.
Kennedy is a possible candidate next year for the U. S. Senate seat now held by Mary Landrieu. Kennedy ran in the nonpartisan 2004 Senate race, which David Vitter won without a runoff.
Louisiana, of course, is restoring party primaries for its congressional elections, starting in 2008.

Kennedy is a traitor and lacks integrity and has proven what a flip flopper he has always been.
I will vote for anyone but him. I wonder how much money Karl Rove gave to him and what financial promises were to him.
