Senator Bill Nelson Will Ask Court to Expedite Florida Democratic Case

U.S. Senator Bill Nelson, the lead plaintiff in a lawsuit challenging the ability of the National Democratic Party to strip the Florida Democratic Party of its delegates to the national convention, will ask the U.S. District Court to expedite his lawsuit. The case is pending in the Northern District of Florida, and is called Nelson v Dean, no. 4:07-cv-427. Nelson’s request will be filed on October 31. Thanks to Professor Franco Mattei for this news.

    best solution to this mess is a national primary all states voting at the same time.

    Doesn’t seem to me that the court has jurisdiction here. The party has the right to make the rules, no matter how arbitrary they might seem to be.

    I find it hard to believe the Democratic Party can be this stupid. I’m a registered Republican looking to change parties because we don’t need any more of their ideas for a while considering how many years it will take to fix the last 8 years of Republican assistance. But why should I change parties to the Democratic Party and have no voice at all in Florida. Go Bill Nelson !
