Thanks Richard. I read too much into your original post. I thought the TIP was going to challenge the "advance notification" required by parties wanting to petition for ballot access, i.e. they would try to both notify and qualify next year. So it appears that there will be probably at least four parties seeking ballot access next year in Texas. Green, Unity08, TIP and Constitution (I'd be surprised if they didn't).

Linda Curtis filed the papers on behalf of the Texas Independence Party. She has long been associated with the people who put Lenora Fulani on the ballot in all 50 states in 1988.

Well technically aren't they 'qualifying' next year (2008) if they provide notification on Jan 2 2008 to the SOS?

I too am interested who the Texas Independence Party consist of? Richard, is there any background info on this org or could you let us know how you came about this information?

Thanks.

Are these the guys behind texind.org? Or the IP of America affiliate? Or some secessionist group?

So much independence... good but confusing...

Oh, and Merry Christmas!
