So there was no ballot? How were people able to identify candidates? And more importantly–why on earth did any of them caucus for Huckabee or Romney?

Maybe someone who lives in Minnesota can chime in and help us out.

FYI, the Green Party caucus won’t be until March 4, which is the traditional day in Minnesota. Minor parties are not required to hold caucuses, so there is some flexibility as to when they are held.

Well, Mike Huckabee is against abortion, wants to abolish the IRS, and is a strong Christian. Now, if he would just take an anti-war position (which any Christian should do), he would be a good fit for the Constitution Party. It is a little more difficult to understand the two votes for Mitt Romney (he is currently the leader of the Eastern Establishment wing of the Republican Party trying to wear the clothing of the Old Guard Conservatives).

The Independence Party caucus was on Feb 5th. However, people are also able to vote on-line in a “virtual caucus” until March 4th. Mike Bloomberg and Sam Nunn are candidates in the presidential straw poll.

Huckabee has other problem including ethics.
