North Carolina Ballot Access Trial
May 5th, 2008On May 5, the first day of the North Carolina ballot access trial was held in state court in Raleigh. The hearing will also take most or all of May 6. The first day heard evidence from three Libertarian activists and one Green activist. The judge seemed very interested in the testimony. The state’s cross-examination seemed aimed at belittling the size of both the Libertarian and Green Parties. Here is an article from the Greensboro News & Record.

Too Bad the Constitution Party can’t seem to get state leaders, who will attend such court actions.

Here in NC, the Libertarians are paying private attorneys. The Greens worked a deal with the ACLU for free representation.
Meanwhile, the LPNC is razor close to finishing our petitioning, with its $120,000 plus cost, so the attorney’s fees are eating us alive. Anyone who could send a few bucks our way would be much appreciated. Click the name, above.
