Nader Loses Lawsuit Against Democratic National Committee
May 28th, 2008On May 27, U.S. District Court Judge Ricardo Urbina, a Clinton appointee in the District of Columbia, dismissed Ralph Nader’s lawsuit against the Democratic National Committee for its actions taken against Nader voters and Nader in 2004. Nader had filed the case in 2007, and had hoped that the Court would allow a trial to show the elements of a conspiracy. The case is Nader v Democratic National Committee, 07-2136.

Not surprising. What did Urbina have to say when he dismissed the suit?

If you want the facts on the concerted effort to keep Nader and the anti-war Presidential vote off of all state ballots (except Alaska), Google “Ralph Nader Steve Conn” to find two articles I published in 2004 on the subject, based on research which was never challenged or refuted.

I can’t say I’m suprised by this result. I woulnd’t vote Nader for dog catcher but I still think what the Democrats did to him is nothing short of criminal.

Typical partisanship rulings. Urbina was a Clinton appointed judge in 1994 so no suprise at that politically motivated ruling.

SO dismissive.
I’m sure Richard has posted the lawsuit and a related civil lawsuit filed earlier this year. If not easy to find, you can find them here:

Here’s an article posted on our site as well which updates the story as of this winter.

How is one supposed to receive justice as a third party representative when the justice system is dominated by partisans?
I too would be interested in seeing posted the judge’s justification for such a ruling.
