You will be glad to know, next time I will not be a write-in Candidate, I wouldn’t want the poor election officials to have to sort through all the misspellings either. My name will be on the Ballot. Voters should be intelligent enough to notice the spelling difference between “Socialist” and “Socialism”. It is the state’s fault for placing (unnecessarily short) limitations on the length of party names.

Why doesn’t PSL just use “Liberation” as a label on the ballots instead of “Socialism”?

And good luck to voters who will be trying to decipher the difference between “Socialist” and “Socialism” (presumably Gloria LaRiva’s Party of Socialism and Liberation) on their ballot. This is the kind of confusion that doesn’t help our cause. You’d think the PSL would have done some homework before choosing the name they did.

Well, I hope Yongyuth Hongsakaphadana gets official ballot status, not that I know who he/she is or what his/her positions are. I just don’t want his/her supporters to have to write that name in, or have the poor election officials have to try to decipher all the misspellings. :)
