But I was told I was wrong, that "Independent and Ecology" is bad English, because independent is an adjective and ecology is a noun. So the party nationally is the "Independence and Ecology Party", even though there is also a completely separate national Independence Party (a coalition of the Independence Parties of Minnesota and New York).
