Scholastic Presidential “Kids Vote” Results Announced
October 14th, 2008Scholastic Magazine has been conducting a mock presidential election for its readers (children in grades one through twelve) since 1940. The poll this year closed on October 10. Approximately 250,000 ballots were cast. Apparently the ballot this year only named Barack Obama and John McCain, but a write-in line was provided.
The results: Obama 57%, McCain 39%, write-ins 4%. Scholastic did not give any information about write-ins, except to say eleven percent of the write-ins were for Hillary Clinton. Scholastic did say this is the highest percentage of write-ins ever recorded in any of its presidential elections.

That company made so much money from sales of Harry Potter books that it is no longer beholden to truth or decency, it it ever was.
This is another illustration of the dumbing down of America’s school children, keeping them in the dark about the real choices, about other choices among candidates.

I read on one website that Huckabee, Barr, Nader, and Paul each got 4 or 5 percent of the write-in vote.

Heh. I remember doing that in 1980. John Anderson was listed then. I voted for Carter…as a 2nd-grader I chose the incumbent based on name recognition.

I saw the interview on MSNBC on Tuesday morning… the said the “Others” were a number of people including fathers, mothers, Hannah Montana, and one even picked Elmo… don’t know if anyone realizes it, but, these “Kids” have been correct every year but 1960 & 1948… they have a keen sense about people… so I guess it’s President Obama…

Sen. Obama is a CROOK!!!…..he has lied to the whole nation. he doesn’t even have the right to run as president but guess what nobody said ANYTHING! McCain may not be the best choice but hay! at least he has a legal birth certificate. Obama’s is fake…it doesn’t have a number or a united states seal. He actually admitted he is Muslim, if Obama takes over we will become a 3rd world country! we will be just like Haiti and all the others countries that are leavin in terror. Ever think about if u change the “B” in OBAMA to “S” it spells OSAMA – our worst enemy that destroyed our nation and his middle name is Husane.(Another enemy that wants to destroy us) Please if you are smart and your heart is right it doesn’t matter what race or genre you are. he doesn’t need to be head of our country!!!
