Minor Party/Independent Presidential Debate Announced for October 23

On October 21, a presidential debate for candidates who are on the ballot in states containing a majority of the electoral vote was announced. It will be Thursday evening, October 23, 9 pm thru 10:30 pm, at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. It is likely that C-SPAN will cover it, since both Ralph Nader and Chuck Baldwin have said they will participate.

Minor Party/Independent Presidential Debate Announced for October 23 — 7 Comments

  1. Libertarian’s Bob Barr MUST be in this debate.
(Campaign tip: I give him an “A-” on his Lehrer News Hour interview the other night on PBS, but a “D” for his suit jacket — lose the stripes.)

  2. Agreed!

    Attn: Bob Barr campaign.

    You MUST attend this one.

Prepare. Get ready. Go. No excuses. True that McBama won’t be there, but who cares. This is your chance to close the deal with hundreds of thousands of interested viewers, potential voters and potential Libertarian Party members.

It was reasonable not to stand in unison and agree with a bunch of socialists at the Ron Paul self-promotion news conference. It was smart to avoid debating the 3 state, 2 state, 1 state and no state vanity presidential debate.

But, this debate is only for candidates who have the theoretical chance to win. AND you are debating them. You are opposing them. You are getting the chance to show that moderate Libertarian ideas are better than socialism and theocracy.

Bob Barr. Please go to this debate!

  3. Has McKinney said whether she will debate? If she doesn’t plan to be there, I see no reason why Barr would skip this event. I am only assuming the story about him not wanting to appear with McKinney is accurate.

  4. You all need to check out Tom Millican. He has the answers to all of our questions and concerns. Since Nov. 2007 he has learned and uncovered the real causes for America’s problems and has resigned himself to do whatever is necessary to return to ALL AMERICANS the land and the ideas that our Founders had in mind for America.

  5. Bob Barr is too good for an independent debate – haven’t you heard? He is a neo-con with an L behind his name. He is a disgrace to the Libertarian ticket!
