Idaho has now tallied the write-in votes for declared write-in presidential candidates. Alan Keyes received 40; Cynthia McKinney received 39; Brian Moore received 3.
Santa Claus won 6 write-ins in Idaho and 3 write-ins in Montana. He finished ahead of Brian Moore in Idaho.
The Santa Claus recieving the votes is a Santa from Incline Village, Nevada.. who is clearly benefiting from his name (kind of like write-in candidate John Kennedy from 2004)
Santa got official write-in status in West Virginia, so let’s see how many candidates he beats there.

oh yeah i heard of that. at first i thought it was one of those fictional characters that u write in like Donald Duck, Alfred Neuman, etc.

Was Ron Paul on the ballot in Idaho or something? If not, I’m majorly surprised that he didn’t get any write-in votes there.

He was on the ballot in Montana and got around 2% of the popular vote in that state. He was also on the ballot in Louisiana.
