On January 12, the Secretary of the Pennsylvania Green Party again asked the State Elections Department why it has not tallied any write-in votes for Cynthia McKinney for president. The party had submitted a list of presidential elector candidates pledged to Cynthia McKinney before the election, and asked for a tally of the number of votes received by McKinney. In response, as noted earlier, the Department arbitrarily tallied the write-ins for Ron Paul, Hillary Clinton, and Chuck Baldwin, but no one else. As noted previously, all write-ins in Pennsylvania are valid, because the state has no requirement that a write-in candidate file a declaration of candidacy in order to obtain a tally.

I heard some counties in Pennsylvania have yet to tally the write-in votes.
Yes,a bunch of counties have yet to tally the write ins. I doubt they ever will. They haven’t even tallied the write ins from 2006 yet.
Pennsylvania did not count write ins in at least 16 counties for ANYONE. These include the most populated counties.
In my survey of PA counties that did count votes, and then extrapolating them out as a percentage of the total vote for the whole state, then Chuck Baldwin would have in the neigborhood of 2500 votes.
Instead the State Elections Board of PA only shows Baldwin with 542, largely because of the missing 16 counties. This ticks me off, as this 2000 vote undercount puts Baldwin at 199,057 total votes nationwide, just under the “magical’ 200,000 threshold.
It is sort of like batting .199 in baseball rather than the .200 mark (known rhetorically as the “Mendoza Line†to those familiar with baseball).
California also undercounted with no write in votes counted in 3 counties.
It is certainly a Constitutional right to have a vote properly counted!
