New Mexico Legislature Adjourns Without Passing National Popular Vote Plan

The New Mexico adjourned on March 21 without having passed HB 383, the National Popular Vote Plan bill. That bill had passed the House on February 20, but it never made any progress in the State Senate.

    Guess those two folks live in Florida or Ohio…. As to most Americans and those who believe in a representative democracy based on one-person,one-vote, we want every state to pass the NPV plan.

    People who really wanted one-person, one-vote would want it to apply to the nomination process; for the ballots to have the same candidates on it; for there to be majority election; and a functional canvassing and recount mechanism.
