California Releases New Registration Data

On May 15, California Secretary of State Debra Bowen released updated voter registration data for the special statewide election of May 19. Compared to the last registration tally of March 20, these parties gained a slightly larger share of the registration: Democratic, American Independent, Libertarian, and Reform. Also the percentage of independents increased. The Reform Party is not ballot-qualified in California but the state keeps track of its registration tally. Ballot-qualified parties that slipped slightly in percentage of registered voters since the last tally are Republican, Green, and Peace & Freedom.

California Releases New Registration Data — No Comments

  1. While I am no friend of the state “leadership” of the American Independent Party, currently recognized by California’s Secretary of State, I am nevertheless very glad that its share of the registration has increased a bit.

I would also appreciate it if you would mention, though I guess I am now doing so, that the actual “independent” designation in California registration card is “decline to state,” not “independent” so there should not be the automatic assumption, that I am sure many who follow this website, that everyone who registers American Independent actually thinks that they registering “independent.” I will readily admit, to be fair, that it would be just as erroneous to assume that none of them think they are actually registering “independent.”

  2. I take a different view than Gary Odem. I consider
Gary Odom a friend. We just have a different view
on the way the American Independent Party needs to
    be affiliated.

The AIP state central committee voted on Friday,
June 27, 2008 to affiliate with the America’s Independent Party of Fenton, Michigan. That disappointed Gary Odem very much. It also upset
former Chairman James King, because he through a
copy of the press release making that affiliation
news in the form of a wad of paper in my face and
started yelling at me on Saturday, June 28, 2008
in the lobby of an LAX hotel. I had just arrived
that morning of 6/28/2008 from Sacramento, CA on the first flight in.

In late April, 2008, I held the proxy’s for both James King and his wife Rayna Mike King, who directed me to cast their votes for Ambassador
Dr. Alan Keyes for President at the Kansas City
    Convention of the Constitution Party.

I have to admit I agreed to act as the King’s proxy
holder at the request of the then state chairman,
Ed Noonan. I had been very upset with the King’s
for over a year prior, viz., James King got his wife appointed twice to party office while she was
an active registered “Republican”. She even stated
on her website that she was “Republican Businesswoman of the Year.” The AIP does not allow
Republicans or persons registered in any other polical parties to hold office in our party. What
James King did was a no-no. Rayna Mike King was a
mole agent for the Republican Party.

One issue coming up soon, is how the American Independent Party is going to comply with the
requirements under Prop. 11 from November, 2008.
Ann E. King (formerly a non-member elected Secretary whos term ended by by September 2, 2008)
has refused to turn over the AIP State Central Committee records to either me, or either the current party’s secretary or chairman. Even though
we have a fire safes in a newly built billing to
    keep party records.

What Ann is doing is preventing applicants for the
redistricting commission to get certified by the
current party chairman (as recognized by Secretary
of State Bowen) Markham Robinson, whose term ends
on September 2, 2010. The redistricting commission
will have up to four members that could be held by
persons that are registered to vote for 5 years
in the American Independent Party that have voted
in two out of the last three general elections.

I take this as an insult to the memory of our parties founder William Shearer. I still remember
my instructions from Bill Shear, viz., help Ed
Noonan in his office as Chairman. I have done that
to the best to my best effort.

Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman, American
    Independent Party.

  3. I just noted two mistakes in the above posting.

It should have read Ann E. Thomas and not Ann E. King. Also it should have been Bill Shearer and not just “Bill Shear”.

Sorry, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman, American
    Independent Party.

  4. I just checked my airline trip recorded. I arrived
at LAX via a connection in Las Vegas. Arriving at
    7:06 a.m. on June 28, 2008

Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman, American
    Independent Party.

  5. ” I take this as an insult to the memory of our parties founder William Shearer. I still remember
my instructions from Bill Shear, viz., help Ed
Noonan in his office as Chairman.”

Response : Only a lying psychotic bastard like Mark Seidenberg would write about considering ” this as an insult to the memory of our parties founder William Shearer …”. EVERYTHING that Mark Seidenberg has done with the AIP has been a total betrayal of Bill Shearer and a non-stop twisting of the knife in his back and urinating on his grave. The AIP NEVER voted to disaffiliate from the CP. Mark Seidenberg filed fake papers with the Secretary of State office with that claim; a outright lie and a deliberate campaign to deceive the SOS office. If Bill Shearer were still alive he would beat the crap out of Mark Seidenberg for his totally corrupt actions and non-stop 24/7 lying. Seidenbergs sentence is yet another in his non-stop string of actions of total and complete contempt against Bill Shearer. The AIP has only grown through the desperation of those betrayed by the Republican Party and now looking for a political home. Unfortunately their new home of the AIP is temporarily in the hands of the most corrupt so-called ” officers ” ( by only their own claim ) in the entire nation as they ( Mark Robinson, Mark Seidenberg, and the original coward Ed Noonan ) are outright liars and cowards beyond compare. Thankfully justice will prevail and the bastard Mark Seidenberg and his fellow cowards and liars will be appropriately destroyed.

  6. Phil Sawyer Says [in an earlier post]:

    Mark Seidenberg Says:

    May 19th, 2009 at 2:59 pm
At post # 10, Phil L. Sawyer states “What would
really be cool if a group of progressive, populists, took the party [viz., “American Independent Party”]away from the two groups of conservative, populists who are now fighting to control the party. Then the party could affiliate
with a national, progress party. The Peace & Freedom Party of California could affiliate with the same national Party and the same two Golden State Parties could merge into one.” Phil Sawyer,
when and who came up with this plan? Why does Peace & Freedom Party plan to be really cool and
and hip and do a take over of the merged party of
the “Republicrats”? So you like a one party State.
How many in the Peace & Freedom agree with you on
a take over of the American Independent Party by the Peace & Freedom Party?

    Phil Sawyer responds:

No, Mark, I’m “an Army (’of the Night’ – thank you, the late, great, Norman Mailer) of one.” The words that I wrote are my own and do not represent the views of the Peace and Freedom Party of California. I was just pointing out what should be the obvious, as I like to do a lot.

The scenario that I came up with seems like a good idea to me but I do not expect that it will happen. Who knows, though? With the two conservative, populist factions fighting for control of the AIP, it is not beyond the realm of possibililty that some group from the outside will come in, en masse, and take over. If that does happen, I hope that it is a progressive organization that does so. Why should the conservatives control the Party for so long? They have not made it a major party yet.

By the way, “An Alabama Independent,” thank you for the wise words.

  7. Why don’t those who want to affiliate with the Constitution Party just forget about the AIP and create a Constitution Party of California? It seems the reasonable thing to do.

  8. Reasonable ????? AIP ???? The Bill King of San Bernardino County, whom eleven years ago declared that the ‘worst agency in state government’ [Sacramento Bee on CALVETS and CDVA] was just fine, and the party, including a state wide officer whom was an inmate at Yountville [in Napa County] thought that things were just dandy.

This was fines and deaths and headlines ago. Just down the free way from King, Barstow became [and is] pretty much the world’s worst veterans home. If it does not concern abortion, King just does not care, including abuse of our nation’s warrior[s]!

    ————- Donald Raymond Lake

  9. To “Citizen For A Better Veterans Home” in your post # 10, you state “King of San Bernardino County, whom eleven years ago declared that the
‘worst agency in state government’ was just fine,
and the party, including a state wide officer whom was an inmate at Yountville thought that things were just dandy”.

Wow, so you are saying that Dr. Don J. “Lunicy”
in 1998, was an inmate at Yountville? Therefore,
he must have made almost a 180 degree turn from
his dandy viewpoint to beliving in “non-stop twisting of the knife in the back and urinating on the grave” of the party founder.

Please post more about “King of San Bernadino County” and his right hand man the former “inmate at Yountville”. Thanks for more information.

Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman, American
    Independent Party

  10. In corrupt and conflicted New York State there is at least one election law innovation worthy of emulation — an election statute which every other state might consider — the “opportunity to ballot” petition and primary for use by each state approved (full time ballot access) party enrolled voters.

If California had this statute party members could avoid much of the leadership/ chairmanship warfare by having total opportunity to ballot primary elections for all offices up for renewal every cycle. i.e. no nominations by conventtions — only OTB primaries

Why don’t those who want to affiliate with the Constitution Party just forget about the AIP and create a Constitution Party of California? It seems the reasonable thing to do.

    Phil Sawyer responds:

Actually, that is precisely what they would do – if they were really serious. It is difficult to believe that many people would want to get involved with such a project, though. The last thing that we need is another bourgeois conservative political party on the ballot in California. We already have the American Independent Party; the Libertarian Party; and the Republican Party.

What the people really need is for all the small, left, political parties to begin to work together to put a stop to all of this services cutting nonsense that is going on in the Golden State. The bourgeois conservatives want to balance our budget on the backs of the proletariat (and keep on giving welfare to the rich). I know that you agree with me that we should not let them get away with such a crime.

  12. I’m not taking sides in this Seidenberg vs Grundmann dispute. I don’t have all the facts – only rumors of who did what. I just don’t understand why these factions have to continually fight one another rather than their real political enemies. It’s more of a “big frog in little pond” syndrone than anything else. It affects all 3rd parties to some degree or the other and is one of the reasons they can’t really accomplish anything at the polls.

I remember and admired the late Bill Shearer. The only thing I never could understand in a state like California with all the sports and entertainment personalities living there, that under Mr. Shearer’s leadership the AIP could never get a well-known, wealthy, and electable personality to seek a statewide office under that label.

But Phil Sawyer is right. If these groups don’t stop fighting one another, some other group is going to come in and take over the party machinery. And it may be a group that both Siedenberg and Grundmann cannot accept. But then it will be too late. And it could be a form of poetic justice if such happens.

  13. To the Alabama Independent. You stated you do not have all the facts. I will place the facts in a
    date order.

I will start back in 2004 when I joined the American Independent Party. I joined the AIP on
March 9, 2004. At the 2004 organizational meeting
of the central committee I was elected for a full
term to continue the part term I held as a National
Committeeman (added to my office as Chairman of the
Orange County Central Committee of AIP). Since,
James King was the Chairman of AIP at the time
he suggested that his wife be elected as an officer
of the AIP. Unknown to the members of the state
central committee, Rayna Mike King was a Registered
Republican. On September 3, 2006, Rayna Mike King
was elected to a different office again for two years. At the same Rancho Cordova state central
meeting, Ed Noonan was elected Chairman and I was
elected Vice Chairman for a two year term.

The California Election Code section 7620 and subsection 7608(b) require the organizational
State Central Committee of the AIP to meet in
Sacramento. Rancho Cordova is in Sacramento County.

At the 2007 State Central Committee of AIP in
the Auditorium of the California Secretary of State
Building, the State Central Committee because aware
that Rayna Mike King was registered as a Republican
in Los Angeles County. The California Election Code does not allow for persons not register to
vote as American Independent Party to hold an
office on the State Central Committee. So Rayna Mike King was removed from her office and was
    replaced.

In May 2008, a minority of the officer of the
State Central Committee calls for a convention
in Los Angeles for the weekend of June 28 & 29,
2008. Don Grundmann on an other post on this site,
claims that it was on June 26 & 27, 2008. At
the bogus gathering Mr. James King claims he was
elected Chairman of the AIP, even though Mr. Noonan
term was for two years and ending on September 2,
    2008.

On June 27, 2008, the AIP State Central Committee
had a meeting an affiliated with the America’s
    Independent Party of Fenton, Michigan.

On July 6, 2008, at the organizational meeting of
AIP State Central Committee at the Auditorium of
the California Secretary of State Building, Sacramento, CA, Markham Robinson was elected Chairman for a two year term with myself as Vice Chairman.

What we had was Mr. King claiming to be the elected chairman of AIP during Mr. Noonan two
year term as Chairman. King came up with a reason
that the election was void in Rancho Cordova was a
void meeting because Rancho Cordova was not in the
    city limit of Sacramento.

The late William Shearer ruled that Rancho Cordova
was part of Sacramento within the meaning of 7608(b).

So what Jim King is doing is trying to Hijack the
    party.

Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman, American
    Independent Party

  14. In the last eleven years it is repeatedly clear that the Constitution Party does not care bout the Constitution and the US Taxpayer Party does not care bout the tax payer and the American Independent Party holds few Independent Americans. And none of these groups give a fig about abused veterans. It has become quite clear.

I am looking at a 1999 letter from your veterans hating group. Give me a mailing address [POB, PMB, or other would be fine]. I will mail you a copy, you prick!

Your group either does not care about abused veterans or chooses to ignore their plight! The evidence is there!

  16. To Donald Raymond Lake:

In the mid to late 1960’s, I was the chairman of the first chapter of VIVA after its incorporation.
We at VIVA were college students that would bring
magazines, books, etc. to the VA hospitals. I remember we would bring radio’s also over and over again, because of the employees and others would
take them from some of the more helpless in hospitals.

Prior to that my mother’s uncle was in the VA system in Chicago, in and out since WWI because
he was mustard gases in France in 1918. He passed
in 1965. Every year when I went to Chicago
to visit my grand-uncle, as a child, I recalled
the conditions of the VA hospitals and it reminded
me of the medical care in the Soviet Union which I
    had to use in 1969.

We should have first class hospitals for our service men and women.

Donald, I for one want to improve the care the Veterans get.

How do you think AIP can help now.

Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman, American Independent Party. My e-mail is

  17. Don, I guess the e-mail address will not go through on this website. I will phone you.

  18. To the two Dons (Grundmann and Lake): Please try for more logic and less drama.

To “An Alabama Independent”: You “hit the nail on the head” again.

  19. Phil, so the FACT that all kinds of good employees and residents and potential allies of the Veterans Home of California – Bastow have been run off by folks like Anthony [Tony] James Blondell, currently a resident of yet another state campus, the prison near Brawley in Imperial County is not ‘on track’.

Another enforcer inmate, Allied Council bully and drunk Bill O’Connor is never written up, even while bleeding and puking, bottle in hand, on the common area bath room floor. On going allies, Congressmember Puke Cunningham, now in federal stir near Tucson [massive bribery] and Lt. Governor attack dog Wade Sanders [Kiddie Porn] Wade Sanders, scheduled for 37 months some where.

The big arching question SHOULD BE some thing like, yes, Lake, you go from zero to sixty in nothing flat, on veterans abuse and corruption in general. Your question should be, why the lack of out rage from the rank and file. I stood nose to nose with pre election Schwartz En Faker, in Santa Monica, on 18 August 2003, and elisted his cooperation on California veterans abuse. Since then he has out Pete Wilson’d Pete Wilson and out Gray Davis’d Gray Davis. Just look on cdva.ca.gov. [Lots of nothing!]

The state is in the poor house, but as Barstow is still in shambles, Ahnold wants to restore the 134 population of ‘the worst veterans home on the planet’ [our terms] to it pre scandal 400 beds. The only veterans home in the nation with out a SNF [‘sniff’] (Skilled Nursing Facility) and only the second in federal history!

Cutting off critics [illegally] in public meetings, criminally rearraigning documents, continuing lies from a decade ago. The unethical construction of new, unplanned veterans home. Life after life, million after million. Where’s your out rage? CALVETS/ CDVA: gypsies, tramps and thieves!

Mister Sawyer, I did not create the drama. Like the evening news, I just reported the facts, many observed first hand! Logic? Like reinstituting the worst veterans home on the planet during the greatest financial down turn of the century? Like building veterans care campuses not ever considered in March 2000 with Proposition 20 with [cut and gut, unethical political actions] Proposition 20 matching funds?

Again, where is YOUR out rage?

Donald Raymond Lake, lived it, did not love it,

  20. Mr. Seidenberg has given his side of the current AIP internal dispute. Now, Mr. Grundmann, if you’ll share your side perhaps all of us might have a better understanding of what when on.

  21. C.T. (#9) asks a logical question: if the two factions of the CP/AIP can’t get along, why not just have two conservative parties? Part of the answer is something C.T. himself understands from first-hand experience: the difficulty of collecting the 89,000 signatures it would take to get on the ballot. My guess is that they are fighting over ownership of the AIP’s ballot line for a pretty good reason. The loser of that fight is not going to be able to get a new group on the ballot.

  22. To Don Lake: I’m sure that you have a lot of legimate complaints. Hang in there!

To “An Alabama Independent”: Mr. Grundmann and Mr. Seidenberg have been arguing and debating on these pages for a long time now (just do a search for their comments). It is time for both men (and their respective allies) to try to work together again. It seems to me that Mr. Seidenberg is closer to that approach. Mr. Grundmann seems to want to keep fighting and fighting. He really needs to calm down.

  23. ” It seems to me that Mr. Seidenberg is closer to that approach. Mr. Grundmann seems to want to keep fighting and fighting. He really needs to calm down.”

Response : Mr. Sawyer – I am more than willing to compromise and negotiate with anyone except those such as Mark Seidenberg who are totally corrupt and have assumed their fake position by a campaign of fraud, lying, and corruption as with deliberately filing false documents with the Secretary of State office to deceive that office. The details of this corruption will soon be found at TheCorruptionOfAlanKeyes.org. I am sure that you and virtually anyone else can and would negotiate with reasonable people but when you are confronted with outright liars who are willing to file false documents with a governmental office and who openly break the party by-laws of the party which you may belong to can you truly ” negotiate ” with such people? Can you ” calm down ” when you are facing outright corruption of the greatest degree? I cannot, and never will ” work together ” with corruption. If you care to read the details at the above mentioned website when it is functional I am sure that you will see that ” working together ” is impossible due to the outright corruption of Keyes, Seidenberg, et. al.

Don Grundmann Vice-Chairman American Independent Party, California branch of the Constitution Party

  24. Don Grundmann: [Whom got a standing ovation in a 2004 national meeting concerning his speech on abused veterans …] Thank you for your on going support of criticism of poorly run veterans programs.]

As supportive as Ed Noonan and others have been on veterans issues, I need to remind you that you need to swallow twice and realize, like I told you last year, like sneaky, ethically challenged long term reformist thug John Blare [RfPCa] you have been out maneuvered! Like the Reform Party of California, the minority group is officially in as far as the Secretary of State [a Democrat or a Republican] is concerned.

It is done. It is a done deal. Any infighting does not count for any thing. What ever minor league brownie points you win in local informal circles does not add or subtract from THE FACT that your faction of the AIP movement and the majority faction of the California Reform movement is not spot lighted by the State of California.

Scream, Yell, Curse, it is a done deal and what you do in the near future just does nothing of value or essence. The other guys are in the saddle and you are not the range master. Face facts!

I take no joy in saying this, as I can take or leave Ed Noonan, but I truly despise John Blare [and John Bambey and Valli Sharpe Giesler and John Coffey]!

  25. ” Mr. Seidenberg has given his side of the current AIP internal dispute. Now, Mr. Grundmann, if you’ll share your side perhaps all of us might have a better understanding of what when on.”

Response : Alabama Independent – Each and every comment that Mark Seidenberg has made on this forum has been a outright lie regarding the situation of the AIP. I will fully explain the situation soon at the website TheCorruptionOfAlanKeyes.org but I give just ONE example of Seidenbergs lies now as follows – The majority of the Central Committee ( 17 total members with 9 signing ) of the AIP signed, as per allowance of the by-laws of the party, a call for convention which occured on the last weekend of June, 2008. At 11:59 P.M. of the previous Thursday Mark Robinson, the corrupt Parlimentarian of the party, sent out a E-MAIL!!! calling for a PHONE!!! state central committee meeting at 10:30 the following morning; less than 11 hours later and with full knowledge that the majority of the board would be unaware of such meeting due to their either going to the convention in L.A. or already being there. On this PHONE central committee meeting, never before held in party history except for discussion of topical issues ( a normal meeting would have a minimum of 30 days notice and would NEVER be held via phone ), 7 people at most; obviously not a majority of a committee of 17; ” voted ” to disaffiliate the AIP from the CP. It was a fake meeting with a fake vote after which they then filed fake papers based on the fake vote with the Secretary of State office claiming that the AIP had disaffiliated from the CP. So you see they 1) had a fake meeting; 2) deliberately kept the majority of the central committee in the dark regarding the meeting, 3) had a fake vote, 4) filed deliberately faked papers with a governmental office. That is why I say Mark Seidenberg is a outright liar. There is much more to tell but each point is a continuance of the basic theme as illustrated here – Alan Keyes, Mark Robinson, Ed Noonan, Tom Hoefling, and Mark Seidenberg ( the key conspirators excluding other corrupt helpers named Gerald and Grace Hill ) are all liars and cowards. They could not allow a honest vote as they knew that they are intellectually too stupid, cowardly, and weak to argue and win their case. Hence they lied instead and continue to do so to this day. Mark Seidenberg is a Republican operative who has waited for a long time to accomplish the same mission he embarked upon regarding the Reform Party – to destroy it. It is Republican Party money paying for the lawyers who represent these liars and cowards. Keyes is only working to develop a ” Republican Lite ” party which, reflective of its founders, will take not real stand different from the 2 ” Big Box ” parties and this because it doesn’t intend to. Its real purpose is not to represent a alternative to the ” Big 2 ” but to KILL any alternative to them. It; like Keyes, Seidenberg, et. al.; is a fake. It is NOT a conservative alternative. It is intended to KILL any such real alternative. Keyes is being well paid for his deception and betrayal. Seidenberg is the California front man for the real behind the scenes Republican money which is behind Keyes and working to destroy the conservative 3rd party movement in the nation. He is a psychotic 24/7 liar. I have already challenged him with a $1,000 bet to prove that he had a majority central committee vote on the PHONE meeting of the last Friday in June, 2008. Being the coward that he is he refused to provide the names. That is because he knows that the ” vote ” was fake. So perhaps you can understand that I am extremely upset when I am facing such outright, outrageous, and continuous corruption. I am sure that you would feel the same way if you were confronted with such outright evil. I would have no complaint if I lost a honest vote based on a open discussion of the issues. Keyes, Seidenberg, and their fellow criminals were too cowardly to have such a vote so the result is that to this day they continue to lie and attempt to cover up their corruption and evil. There is no true english word to describe how vile, contemptable, and utterly corrupt they are. They are the scum of the nation; traitors to the history of our Republic and I will ensure that their corruption is exposed and that they are brought to justice.

Don Grundmann Vice-Chairman American Independent Party, California branch of the Constitution Party

  26. ” It is done. It is a done deal.”

Response : Don Lake – Thank you for your comments but – No. It is NOT a done deal. Not by any stretch of the imagination. The corruption of Seidenberg may be ” winning ” at this moment but I can assure you that each of the corrupt attackers of the AIP – Alan Keyes, Tom Hoefling, Mark Robinson, Mark Seidenberg, and Ed Noonan – will be destroyed. As surely as the sun rises and gravity exists their corruption will be stopped. And when the AIP is saved from their corrupt attack and restored I will ensure that the party fully addresses veterans issues in every manner and to the greatest degree possible. You have my word on that. I hope that this note finds you well. Best to you,

Don Grundmann Vice-Chairman American Independent Party, California branch of the Constitution Party

  27. Refutation to Dr. Don Grundmann. I will now give a
refutation to the disinformation of Don Grundmann, but it will be done in parts. I have little time
right now, because of work I have to do for the
American Independent Party this morning. There is
a recall started to end the term of the Governator.
I am in the process with other party leaders to find the idea AIPer to run for Governor of California at the time of the recall for the remainder of the term.

First thing first is the issue of money. Dr. Don J. Grundmann offered to pay $1000 for a list of the members of the American Independent Party State Central Committee that voted for the affiliation with the America’s Independent Party
of Fenton, Michigan as the National Party on Friday, June 27, 2008. Since, I have zero trust in Dr. Don J. Grundmann, I required the funds to be place in escrow and suggested that Richard Winger be the escrow holder. Don Grundmann has
not yet suggested the name of the escrow older.

At the State Central Committee meeting of September
3, 2006 in Sacramento (County), Dr. Don J. Grundmann was elected for a full two-year term as
a National Committeeman of the American Independent
Party. That term ended on September 2, 2008. Therefore by September 3, 2008, Dr. Don J. Grundmann was no longer an officer of the party.
Dr. Don J. Grundmann closed with the statement of
disinformation, viz., “Don Grundmann Vice-Chairman American Independent Party, California branch of the Constitution Party.”

Let’s look at the last part of this disinformation,
viz., “California branch of the Constitution Party”
in that quote. The American Independent Party has
never been a “branch” of any other party. Over the
years the AIP has affilated with many parties, i.e., joining together and then leaving. It was the State Central Committee of the American Independent Party on Friday , June 27, 2008, that
entered into a relationship with the America’s
Independent Party of Fenton, Michigan. The Constitution Party is now past history. The American Independent Party is not now in any kind
of relationship with the Constitution Party. Thing change, but Dr. Don J. Grundmann, has not
caught on the Constitution Party is past history.

I have never filed false documents with the Secretary of State Office. Note Dr. Don Grundmann
has not come up with one document that I filed with
the California Secretary of State that is false.

In my July 7, 2008 letter to California Secretary of State Debra Bowen, I called to her attention that at the July 4, 2008 meeting of the State Central Committee that ‘in accodance with the
Election Code Section 7639 which allows us [state
central committee] to choose between affiliation with a national party by resolution or bylaw provision and requires us to file with you the
appropriate one of the two. In the Bylaws herewith
submitted, we choose the latter option of affiliation by bylaw which is in the in this instance “Article VIII, National Affiliation” of our Bylaws. It should be noted here the AIP was
affilated with the America’s Independent Party since June 27, 2008, but Grundmann was ranting so
much about this over the prior week we make a by-
law change to try to keep him calm. Which it did not. The following day [July 5, 2008] at the Convention of the American Independent Party 2008 in the Auditorium of the California Sectretary of State Building in Sacramento, Delegate Don Grundmann spoke [ranting] from the floor of his objections to the affilation with the America’s
Independent Party and silver coins (30 pieces),
“twisting of a knife in his back” etc. I explained
to him as the elected chairman of the convention
that the delegates to this convention have not
authority to change the bylaws of the party, because, the state central committee is a different
body even if we wanted to. No other delegate at the convention had an objection to the national
    affiliation of June 27, 2008.

I now quote the by-law change of July 4, 2008.
    “Article VIII: National Affiliation
The national affiliation of the American Independent Party shall be with America’s Independent Party, 17195 Silver Parkway, #336, Fenton, MI 48430 pursuant to the provisions of
Section 7639 of the Election Code allowing such
affiliation to be by Bylaws provision instead of
    resolution.”

Dr. Don Grundmann has claimed on a post on this site that he was elected vice-chairman at the
2008 convention of the AIP in Los Angeles on either
    June 26, 2008 (Thursday) or June 27, 2008 (Friday).
Note the disinformation here. 1. Officers of the
state central committee are elected by the members
of state central committee at a meeting of the state central committee. 2. Don Grundmann claims
he was elected at a “Convention” in “Los Angeles”
on either Thursday, June 26, 2008 or Friday, June 27, 2008. No one other than Don Grundmann has ever
heard of a “Convention” in Los Angeles on those dates. 4. Conventions of the American Independent
Party must take place in Sacramento, CA, because the California Election Code section 7620 and subsection 7608(b) require all conventions to be
in Sacramento. 5. The AIP has only one convention
every two years. In 2008 the Convention met on
in the Auditorium of the California Secretary of State Building, Sacramento, CA on July 5, 2008.
I was the elected Chairman of that convention, also attending as a delegate was Dr. Don J. Grundmann.

On July 6, 2008 at the organizational meeting of the American Independent Party State Central Committee, I was re-elected Vice Chairman of the
American Independent Party. Dr. Don J. Grundmann
did not attend that State Central Committee meeting of July 6, 2008.

Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman, American
    Independent Party.

  28. Don Grundmann in his post #30, said that the “sun
rises”. No Dr. Grundmann the Sun does not raise,
    but the Earth rotates.

Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman, American
    Independent Party.

  29. From reading comments from both Mr. Grundmann and Mr. Seidenberg, I still do not have enough information to know who is telling the truth. But I would like to say something to both of you. Of all the 3rd parties in California, the AIP is the party that poses the greatest threat to the two-party monopoly there. Of the parties that the Democratic and Republicans officials are keeping a watchful eye on, the AIP is that party. They read those registration numbers just like you and I do. They see that as more and more voters are dissatisfied with both major parties, that a party with a generic and non-threatening name such as “American Independent” is appealing.

What I am more concerned about – while you two seem to not want to make peace – regardless of who is wrong and of who did what – is that the Democratic/Republican controlled Assembly in California could find ways to cut the life of the AIP. One action they could take is to pass legislation to change all current “Declined To State” registrants to “independent” and further not allow any 3rd party to use the word “independent” as its name or part of its name. As Richard will testify, many states already do this. If that happened, very few voters would be motivated to join a party simply known as “American” party. When those who are still registered as AIP die out or change to another party, well, you know what would happen then.

When the late Bill Shearer was around as the motivating and guiding force for the AIP, he was successful in always staying one step ahead of such legislative shenanigans. You don’t have his sharp legal insights any longer and I would hope your two factions would stop this internecine activity you are engaged in. This is just what the Democrats and Republicans would like to see continue happening so you have no time to build the party.

But even if laws are not changed to allow the AIP to die naturally on the vine, there is (as I suggested in an earlier post) the possibility that others who see the potential political appeal which the AIP name holds could take advantage of that opportunity. Such a group – whom you both may not agree with – could simply invade your party via registration and using your on bylaws, take it over in time.

So as a fellow “independent” to another, I urge you to settle your differences and get this party moving forward again. Find those well-known sports or entertainment personalities (and there are plenty of them in California) who share the values of your party and encourage them to run for Governor or U.S. Senator or whatever office they feel they are qualified to serve in.

Bill Shearer virtually dedicated his life to keeping the AIP around. Don’t lose it by allowing “big frog in little pond” politics to get in the way.

  30. Back to the disinformation by Dr. Don Grundmann. Dr. Don J. Grundmann state the following “disinformation”: “I have already challended him [Mark Seidenberg] with a $1000
bet to prove that he had a majority central committee vote on the PHONE meeting or the
last Friday in June 2008, being the coward that
he is refusing to provide the names.

Here is what Dr. Don J. Grundmann really said:
“I will give $1,000 cash to any one who can prove
that the so-called vote to disaffiliate the AIP
from the CP was conducted by or had a majority of of the state central committee vote.” There was no
bet in the mix. Grundmann is now trying to get out
of the offer that I accepted. I had suggested Richard Winger be the escrow holder on the $1,000.
Grundmann has not come up with an alternative escrow holder. This was more disinformation. Any
one that wants to read this offer can look up his
post # 24, May 12, 2009 at 11:47 a.m. under “Alan Keyes Arrested For Protesting Obama at Notre Dam”
date May 9th, 2009 on Ballot Access News. I would
never excepted a bet on Ballot Access News, because
I have to much respect for Richard Winger to use his website to except bets. Don J. Grundmann gave
a clear offer to purchase my work product. He will
not name an alternative to Richard Winger as an escrow holder.

Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman, American
    Independent Party.

I need to go back to the project of find an AIPer
to run for governor in the upcome California Special Election [viz. recall election].

  31. Back to more disinformation posted here by Don Grundmann. He stated above with in post 29 on
May 21, 2009 at 9:47p.m. that there were only
17 members on the American Independent Party
State Central Committee. This is an extreme low
ball figure. Granted that Anne E. Thomas was a
non-member Secretary of the State Central Committee. We had 21 Officers on the State Central Committee. Since, Anne E. Thomas was
not a member of the State Central Committee.
There is still others like Gordon who were members
and did not hold an office. Don since you claim
that there were only 17 on the State Central
Committee as members, just list the 17 on a post
here and I will add to the list if you do not cover
all the real members of the State Central Committee. Also lets pick a date certain as to the
names on the list. My suggestion is you pick the
date that you posted to then AIP Chairman Ed Noonan
your so-called “Petition For Call To Convention &
State Central Committee Meeting”, since our then
Chairman Ed Noonan claims he never received from
you or anyone else prior to the American Independent Party State Central Committee meeting
of June 27, 2008 any such petition. Please also
explain how you seem to be the only person to claim
you were at an AIP Convention in Los Angeles on
    Thurday, June 26, 2008 and Friday, June 27, 2008?

Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman, American
    Independent Party

  32. Mark the Liar/Coward : The number of people on your fake phone call was not your ” work product.” You are simply a lying coward as you know that the numbers were 7 at the most if not just 5. Your inane writings simply illustrate the coward that you are as it would be simple enough to name the people on the call and then claim the $1,000. I already know that you are cowardly enough not to accept a bet and yet you hide behind Richard and anything else to cover up your lies. Well the lawsuits will beat it out of you as you will be brought to testify and you will be exposed in open court as the god-damned liar and coward that you are. Your stench will be brought out into the open and soon enough you will be flushed down the toilet where you belong when the AIP is restored from the corruption of you, Keyes, Robinson, and Noonan; who is just as much a coward and liar as you are. Everyone can see how you avoid addressing the fake vote which you held. Each post that you make simply reaffirms how sick, corrupt, and cowardly you truly are.

Don Grundmann Vice-Chairman American Independent Party, California branch of the Constitution Party

  33. WARNING! Don Grundmann has not been an officer of
the American Independent Party since September 2,
2008. He has never been been a Vice Chairman of the American Independent Party. The American Indpendent Party has never been a “branch” of the
Constitution Party or any other party. The American Independent Party has been an affiliate
of the America’s Independent Party since the AIP
State Central Committee meeting of June 27, 2008.

    TO: Don Grundmann

You stated in post #36 at 10:50 p.m. on May 22, 2009 that:”the number of people on your fake phone
call was not [my] “work product”. I can not see how a person can be on a “fake phone call” so one
can count them. What was my “work product” was the
documentation to prove your employment offer of $1000 posted on May 12, 2009. It would be simple
to list the names on a posting here as to the vote
of June 27, 2008. However, I would like to get paid
for my “work product”, because I excepted your employment offer of May 12, 2009. I will tell you
the number of recorded votes were greater than both
five and seven added together. Sorry Don wrong guess. Just name an escrow holder that I also trust and give him $1,000.00 cash and I will produce the “work product”.

Don you are incorrect. No court would direct me
to give up my work product without being paid the $1,000.00 first. What lawsuits are you talking
about that “will beat it out you”. The only court
that I know of may beat it out of me would be
in GITMO, but it would lack jurisdiction.

I just want to be paid the $1,000.00.

Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman, American
    Independent Party.

  34. To Don Grundmann.
Just for your informaion the last judicial corporal
punishment law in the United States was repealed in
1972. That was in Delaware. The nearest location
where a court could beat that “work product” out of me is in Jamaica, since caining is legal there.
Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman, American Independent Party.

  35. Don Groundmann stated on post #36 stated:”Well the
lawsuits will beat it out of you as you will be brought to testify”. What lawsuits? He will not get my work product out of me by bringing me to court? It is so easy, Don Grundmann suggests an
escrow holder and puts up the $1,000.00. He gets
the list of members of the State Central Committee
voting for the affilation resolution of June 27, 2008 with the America’s Independent Party of Fenton, Michigan. I am holding that list close
    to the vest.

Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman, American
    Independent Party
