All of you 30 parties can thank the Reform Party, the Green Party, Libertarian Party, and the Natural Law Party for your equal ballot access in the state of Florida.
In 1998 the 3FE ( Floridians for Fair Elections ) made it possible to have equal ballot access.
We worked as a coalition and got it done.
I’m very proud of the 3FE and you should be too.

Florida is the only state in the nation in which the filing fee ever exceeds 2% of the annual salary of the office.

Sorry, but filing fees in Florida are in general fairly low. Additionally, one can run by petition and there is a financial hardship exception.

Someone running for State House might pay $700 or get 1000 signatures. The Libs encourage people to petition to develop a base.

Most of the Florida parties are protest parties or have a legislative agenda. There is even a party to protest protest parties, or was.

Libertarians pushed for the initiative to be on the Constitution deliberately. Once there, it can’t be overthrown except by another initiative.Frequently starting an initiative helps get a statute changed.

That’s just sad, Richard. Ohio has its problems, but at least we have easier initiatives than Florida.

The dysfunctional Reform Party still has a presence after all these years. Mrs Ruben Hernandez [Ms Janice Miller] is a council member at the town of Oldsmar [FLorida]. These long established political officers are often harranging party members of other, more difficult states. on their lack of ballot access.

Florida doesn’t have the initiative process for changing statutes. It only has the initiative process for changing the State Constitution. It would be possible to make a change in filing fees be a constitutional amendment, of course. Another potential problem is that initiatives to change the Constitution require a 60% vote. And the biggest problem is the huge cost of doing an initiative petition.

As Democrats of the Democratic Party, and we are joining together in seeking reform within the Democratic Party.

Many of our elected representatives within the Democratic Party are no longer following in the time-honored footsteps laid down by the founding fathers of our great Nation. More importantly, we as democrats see our elected representatives within the Democratic Party abandoning the values and principles as set forth within the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States.

Nonetheless, this is only the beginning of our problems as Democrats, for the current Democratic Party leadership is tainted by corruption and being taken over by Socialists. These Socialists are clearly a threat to everything we hold sacred in America, and they are gaining evermore control over our Democratic Party, our Nation, and the American people.

Despite this, we as Democrats can restore control of the Democratic Party back to the party members. All we need to do is cut off donations to the local, state, and national headquarters of the Democratic Party, and to make sure the donations are made directly to patriotic and honorable Democratic Party candidates that are not corrupt and/or Socialist.

So please help spread the message to everyone of our fellow Democrats. Also, don’t forget to contact and request the Unions and other outside contributors to follow our lead as patriotic Americans.
