Wouldn’t it be simpler to designate the top two capitalized corporate “persons” domiciled in California to select the candidates for statewide office? It just seems more reasonable to me and would avoid the passion of a primary.

YUCK! This is horrible news for minor party and independent candidates in California. It is horrible news for the voters in California as well because it will lead to them having less choices on the general election ballot.
Considering all of the money that is pouring in to support Proposition 14 I’ve got a bad feeling that it is going to pass due to the propaganda campaign that all of that money will buy.
Schwarzenegger’s actions here are another example of how he is just another slimeball politician. I wish that he would have stuck with making movies.

Where is the funding coming from? Hewlett-Packard, Burlington Northern Railroad, Pacific Life Insurance, Blue Shield, and a variety of unions, banks, and developers.
