Britain Will Vote on Instant Runoff Voting for House of Commons Elections on May 5

On February 16, the British Parliament approved the bill to provide for a national vote on May 5, on whether to use Instant Runoff Voting in House of Commons elections. Thanks to Thomas Jones for this news. There had been some suspense, because the House of Lords had been threatening to delay the authorization.

Britain Will Vote on Instant Runoff Voting for House of Commons Elections on May 5 — No Comments

  1. Now in the rotted U.K. —

About 22 percent of the voters elect a bare majority (326 of 650) of the party hacks to be MPs in the U.K. House of Commons.

IF the Alt. Vote SCHEME is approved, then the minority rule control percentage will be about 30 percent (to elect the 301 party hacks with the lowest votes of the total 600 MPs) — AFTER the 2015 gerrymander election for MPs.

See the Alt.Vote math in the Australia House of Reps.

    — i.e. the House of Commons will become like the U.S.A. House of Reps — TOTALLY filled with party hack gerrymander district robots.

The Lords likely came within hours and minutes of being wiped out by an Act of Parliament — since the Lords are older party hacks – many former MPs – either hereditary or appointed by party hack Prime Ministers — all very Stone Age / Dark Age stuff.

The U.K. barely survives with its NO written constitution regime — covering up the MAJOR underlying super-tensions in the regime.

    Real reforms —

    P.R. legislative
    App.V. executive/judicial

    – pending LOTS of public education about head to head rank order math.

  2. The House of Lords were insisting that there be a 40% quorum for the referendum, and under the double insistence rule of the Ping Pong, the whole bill could have been lost.

  3. A Lords reform bill will one of the next CRISIS bills in the rotted U.K. regime — even some P.R. noises to ELECT the *Lords*.

Thank Heaven for 4 July 1776 in the U.S.A.
