Nebraska Ballot Access Improvement Signed Into Law

On March 16, Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman signed LB 399. It eliminates the county distribution requirement for statewide non-presidential independent candidate petitions. This appears to be the first ballot access improvement bill that has passed in any state in 2011.
