Steve Kornacki Suggests 2012 Presidential Election Reminds Him of 1980 and 1992

Steve Kornacki, news editor of Salon, has this column in the August 14 New York Post. 2. I wish we’d get ourselves another John Anderson! Not so much a Perot. An Anderson could get young people energized. Build a Progressive Party like Anderson should’ve done 30 years ago.

  3. He’s partially correct, except that right now there isn’t an actual candidate/forerunner In a third party that is grabbing widespread attention. Americans Elect is getting lots of time in the limelight, but they aren’t going to put forth a candidate until summer of 2012.

  4. I predict that Trump is showing his feathers for a potential third party run for President if the Republicans elect somebody he doesn’t like. That will leave me scratching my head for sure!

  5. How about 2012 === 1860 ???

    Think Civil WAR II ???

    A high percentage of folks [25-40 ???] are now getting ALL of their income from govt spending — govt employees, contractors, welfare, interest gangs.

    See for example the Spanish Civil War 1936-1939 — setup for World War II.
