Former New Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman Endorses Americans Elect

Christine Todd Whitman, who was elected as a Republican to the New Jersey governorship in 1993, and re-elected in 1997, has endorsed Americans Elect. See this op-ed from the Washington Post.   2. Christine Whitman is quite the stateswoman and actually bucks her own party and in fact her own president Bush II when she was EPA top dog and in Bush’s cabinet.

    She would be an absolutely fantastic AE candidate nominee for Pres or VP.

  3. Sounds familiar. It’s from 1980. Carter (the President) divided by Anderson (Whitman) equals Reagan (A Republican in 2012).

  4. #5, even if every single Anderson voter in 1980 had instead voted for Carter, Reagan still would have won, easily.
