Indianapolis City Councilman Ed Coleman, who changed his membership to the Libertarian Party, was defeated in his reelection bid. The results, with all precincts reporting, are:
JACK E. SANDLIN (REP) 4,760 75.68%
ED COLEMAN (LIB) 1,530 24.32%
And recall, this is the race the LNC put $50,000 into at the last LNC meeting.

Was he technically running for re-election since he was seeking a different City Council seat?
All of his campaign material said “Re-elect Ed Coleman” so I assume so.
@4 – there was a woman in San Antonio that put “re-elect” on her signs, etc who had not been on the council for 2 or 4 years… I wouldn’t say she was seeking re-election.
