Some Massachusetts Democrats Now Regret Moving Non-Presidential Primary to Coincide with Democratic National Convention

They didn’t choose Tuesday, September 4, because that is the day after Labor Day. Elections workers set up the polling place the day before the primary, but if they had people doing that on a holiday (Monday, Labor Day) the workers would get extra pay. They didn’t want to spend the money on that.
