How about a 35 percent Prez winner in Nov. 2012 ??? — even less than Prez Abe Lincoln in 1860.

Gee — what happened in 1861 due to the Lincoln minority rule election ???

  3. Richard Winger Says:

Lincoln got 40% of the popular vote.

  4. Demo Rep Says:

Gee 35 percent is less than 40 percent.

How about trying for a 25 percent winner in 2012 with AE, Greens, Libertarians, etc. etc. having their Prez candidates.

DIVIDE and CONQUER — worked in 1860, can work again.

You know Demo Rep your schtick is really tired. And you are aware that the Green Party and Libertarian Party have been running Presidential candidates since 1996 and 1972 respectively. And there have been several other 3rd Parties over the years. Why does this bother you so much? Are we only allowed to have two candidates to choose from? And why are you obsessed with trashing Abraham Lincoln’s election? Seriously? You believe that the Republican Party of 1860 sabotaged the Democratic Party? And so far Gary Johnson is the biggest name to jump into the 3rd PArty fray and with all due respect to him I doubt his presence will lead to a 35% winner total. Get a grip.
