Santorum Will Appear on Indiana Ballot Unless a Voter Challenges his Petition by February 17

According to this news story, Rick Santorum will appear on the Indiana Republican presidential primary ballot unless any voter challenges his petition before February 17. Marion County election officials checked his petition and determined that he was short 24 signatures in the 7th U.S. House district. The law requires 500 signatures from each U.S. House district. But, in Indiana, primary petitions are presumed valid if no one challenges.

  1. Are petitions for ballot access in Indiana also presumed valid if no one challenges? I think you have answered yes before but I wish to make sure….

  2. also, so Santorum has verified that his parents were both naturalized US citizens before his birth?

  3. So Richard, what happened with the GA-SOS review of the ALJ’s definition of “natural born citizen”?

  4. Santorum has not filed for the NYS GOP POTUS Primary yet. Newt has filed.

  5. #3, the Georgia Secretary of State agreed with the Administrative Law Judge’s determination that President Obama meets the constitutional qualifications. That was a foregone matter, because the ballots by then had already been printed for the March 6 Democratic presidential primary.

  6. Richard Winger,

We need Mr. Richard Santorum to come forward with the
naturalization papers of his father now. Our information was even though Aldo Santorum was born in the Kingdom of Italy in 1923, he entered the United
States under the 1924 Act under the 1890 census quota
for Austria relating to part of Austria-Hungary and not
    the Kingdom of Italy.

This goes to the fact was Dt. Aldo Santorum at the time
of birth of Rick Santorum a naturalized United States Citizen if he errored and stated he was a Citizen of
Austria when he was in fact a Subject of the Kingdom
(or alternatively a Subject of the Empire) of Italy.

Will some one save Rick Santorum and provide the documents that he meets the Natural-Born Citizen requirement, viz., that at his birth his father was a
naturalized citizen of the United States and show that
he arrived in the United State as a Subject of Italy
and not Austria as some website now claim!?

I believe voters have a right to know if Santorum is a
natural born citizen or note under the terms of the Minor Case of 1875.

Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Chairman, American Independent Party of California
