President Obama Ties with Roseanne Barr in District of Columbia Green Presidential Primary
May 1st, 2012The District of Columbia Board of Elections has released all the write-in tallies for the April 3, 2012 Green Party presidential primary. It had already been known that Jill Stein won that primary, because Stein was the only name on that ballot, and her total (previously released) is 216, whereas all write-ins put together total only 164.
The Board’s breakdown shows that Roseanne Barr and President Obama each received 72 write-ins. No one else received more than 2 write-ins.
The Board says it does not intend to put these results on its web page, so historians of the future will probably overlook these returns. The Board does not publish any book that contains official election returns, so the only official evidence will be a piece of paper in the Board’s files.

The write in votes should be struck from the History Books. Its obvious that the Obama votes were cast by democratic party operatives to make mischief and the Barr votes were cast by the lunatic fringe. Or is it the other way around.

I know the above was a cheap shot but I couldn’t resist it. I have the utmost respect for MS. Barr.

Is there anyway to find out who got the most write-ins for the GOP primary for Congressional Delegate?

#3, I imagine if you phone the DC Board of Elections, they will tell you. 202-727-2525.

DC has closed primaries, so this is among voters who care enough to register Green and to get out and vote. I doubt that many “democratic operatives” were involved, particularly given the opportunity to have a much bigger affect in the small DC republican primary.
It is disappointing that so many Green/DC Statehood Party members felt inclined to stick with Obama in spite of his very un-green record. But three times as many supported Stein and over four times as many supported a solidly green candidate.

R. Barr is the people’s choice candidate/president and this needs to be recorded accurately. We need to follow in successful countries footsteps and throw out the old regime bringing in a president who actually cares about the people, ie; Lincoln, FDR and BArr2012

I’m glad Roseanne Barr is running for the Green Party nomination, and we need her help to win more ballot lines for the GP! I’m surprised she didn’t qualify for the DC ballot, since it only takes 200 signatures. The Obama votes by Greens are a disgrace!
We were fortunate to have one of our presidential candidates here in Florida for the local May Day march and rally. Here’s a video of Jill Stein’s May Day speech: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdbSf0i0Mfg

[...] might be getting a little ahead of herself here. Understandable, what with the 72 votes she got as a write-in candidate in the D.C. Green Party [...]

Roseanne Barr is a genius and has all the solutions to get this country, and the world, out of the turmoil it’s in.
She’s got my vote – and the vote of my wife.
Just LISTEN to her platform before you judge.
