On August 29, the Alaska Division of Elections determined that the Green Party’s petition for “Limited Political Party” status is valid. A “Limited Political Party” in Alaska is one that is entitled to have its presidential and vice-presidential nominees on the November ballot. This is the first successful statewide petition in Alaska for the Green Party since 1994. The party was ballot-qualified 1994 through 2004.

I am very impressed with Dr. Jill Stein and the presidential campaign that she has run so far.
Here’s my prediction for states she will ultimately NOT be on. Much of this is obvious, but just to have the list out there: Alabama, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Vermont, and Virginia.
I’m very curious about Nebraska and New Hampshire.
I was sad to see what happened in Montana. I always think of Montana as a place where the Greens should catch hold. I’m also sad about the situation in Vermont. To me if any state has an active Green Party it should be Vermont. But I guess they have the Progressive Party instead.

#3, I think she might be able to get on the ballot in a few of those states still. At least she is on in California, New York, Florida, Texas, Illinois and Pennsylvania.
Looks like she’s filed plenty for Virginia. I think she’s going to be on more states than many people expect.
Bill Hillsman, who did the TV spots for Jesse Ventura was hired by the Stein campaign to do TV spots as well. The campaign is very well run.
