North Carolina Representatives Marvin Lucas (D-Spring Lake) and Elmer Floyd (D-Fayetteville) have introduced HB 38, which would abolish run-off partisan primaries. Thanks to Kevin Hayes for this news.
As a NC voter, I can say… finally!
This could improve the chances of a libertarian-leaning candidate to win a “major” party nomination.
Obviously more plurality extremist robot party hacks will be elected — as in most of the other States.
How many alleged *moderate* party hacks are there in the NC regime due to the run-off primaries ???
P.R. and nonpartisan App.V.
Looking forward to this passing.
