Texas Democratic Legislator Introduces Bill for Top-Two for State Elections, but not Congressional Elections — No Comments

  1. So the evil Top Two rears its ugly head in yet another state, but this time one that does not have a state wide initiative process. Hopefully it will be squashed again.

  2. Every party has the right to place a candidate on the ballot in the general election – in November. Every independent has the right to be on the ballot in the general election in November. (Yes, a tiny signature requirement to assure candidates are serious could be appropriate.)

Every voter has the right to choose among ALL the candidates presented by parties and independent candidates at the General Election – in November.

“Top-two” is a plan to create a one-party state where the only party allowed to run candidates is the “Top-two” party.

“Top-two” is a violation of the rights of voters and candidates.

“Top-two” is a scheme by the power elite, heavily promoted by shills, including here on BAN, who are trying to fool the people into creating a one-party state as in the old USSR.

    “Top-two” is evil.

“Top-two” creates a one-party state as in the old USSR.

Under “top-two” the only party allowed to place candidates on the ballot for the General Election in November is the “Top-two” party.

All other candidates – Democrat, Republican, all third parties and Independents are excluded.

Under “top-two” the voters have no choice other than the candidates of the “Top-two” party.

“Top-two” must be stopped and repealed wherever passed.

  3. Why should party bosses have a right to place a candidate on the ballot?

Be Rational Party Boss: “Hello, yes I’d like to place an ad for a riding lawnmower in Tuesday’s edition”

Secretary of State: “Err… I think you may have the wrong number.”

Be Rational Party Boss: “Oh sorry. I meant to say I’d like to place a candidate for the Beer Rat party on the ballot. We’re running…”

Secretary of State: “There is no need for that. He can simply run himself. You’re free to support his candidacy of course.”

  4. Riley, you’ve been exposed as a shill for the power elite. Now you’re posting like that Oooogle guy. Why not give up your evil alliance, get a real job, and stop trying to foist the evil “Top-two” one-party, USSR-styled state on the American people.
