Republican Party Tentatively Chooses Cleveland for 2016 Convention

The Republican Party has tentatively chosen Cleveland, Ohio as the host for its 2016 presidential convention. See this story. This makes it very likely that the convention will start July 18. Cleveland can’t accomodate a Republican convention in June.

The story says Democrats won’t choose their city until late 2014 or early 2015.

  1. Hmmm. June – November — a mere 4 plus months of nonstop attack ads by the robot party hacks in the about 8 marginal gerrymander Electoral College States (about the same in 2000-2004-2008-2012) —

AND enough time to forget about all the Prez primary attack ads ???
    —-
    NO primaries. NO conventions.

    P.R. and nonpartisan App.V.

  2. Cleveland is home to the notorious left-winger Dennis Kucinich. Still I guess that is better than Ronald Reagan kicking off his 1980 campaign in Philadelphia, Mississippi, where the three civil rights workers were killed.
