Here is the number of votes received by each minor party write-in candidate in the California June 3, 2014 primary (except that the results still aren’t available for the Assembly, 5th district):
Board of Equalization district 3: Libertarian Jose Castaneda 173; Peace & Freedom Eric Moren 127; Peace & Freedom Jan Tucker 34.
U.S. House district 11: American Independent Virginia Fuller 140.
U.S. House district 23: Libertarian Gail Lightfoot 31.
U.S. House district 43: American Independent Brandon Cook 12.
U.S. House district 44: Peace & Freedom Adam Shbeita 5.
Assembly 5: Libertarian Patrick D. Hogan 60.
Assembly 41: Libertarian Ted Brown 84.
Assembly 60: Libertarian John Farr 34.
Assembly 75: Libertarian Mike Paster 14.
Assembly 79: American Independent George R. Williams 115.
The only three who will appear on the November ballot are Shbeita, Hogan, and Williams, because in each case they placed second. In all three cases, only one name was on the primary ballot, and the minor party write-in candidate was the only declared write-in candidate. Therefore none of these three could have been kept off the November ballot, unless they had polled zero write-ins.
I rashly predict that NONE of the magic 3 will get elected in any of the gerrymander districts involved — unless there is some major divine intervention.

Where are those numbers from?
There had been numbers on the SOS website, but I can’t find them now. The SOS is saying the results are semi-official, with the official on July 11.
Looking at the county election websites, there were large number of write-in votes in the AD-5 race. It is quite possible that Hogan received more votes than all the other minor party write-in candidates combined, including those for the SBOE race in LA.
I got all those figures from county election web pages.
It is weird. They were on the SOS results – because all the write-in candidates were in the correct place using the SOS collating scheme (by party, then alphabetically) but the name and party of the write-in candidates was missing.
El Dorado County has a list of miscellaneous non-qualified party registrants. Surprising to me is that so many are “Independent”, though there is not an exceptional share in the county, like there is in Alameda or Los Angeles counties.

There were also a bunch of zeroes for most of the recent parties that have “attempted” to qualify. They must assign a code for each party. It’s possible that the “Miscellaneous Affiants” are true random write-ins (Donald Duck, etc.) and they can avoid defining new codes, but could easily check those few registrations if needed.
At the the time of Nattural Law Party’s last report as a qualified party prior to the 2006 general election there were 57 NLP registrants in the county. For the Reform Party there were 318 in 2002, though there have been some attempts to re-qualify since then.
