  1. Hmmm. Any armed Donkey guards for the LP voter-signers involved ???

How COMMUNIST ar the New Age Donkeys ???

How FASCIST are the New Age Elephants ???

See for example the EVIL 1936-1939 Spanish Civil War — lots of firing squads on both sides.

  2. From the LP platform:

“We affirm the individual right recognized by the Second Amendment to keep and bear arms, and oppose the prosecution of individuals for exercising their rights of self-defense”

Actually, the second amendment doesn’t recognize an “individual” right to keep and bear arms, but whatever…you want guns? You got guns.

    Own it, LP.

  3. “Actually, the second amendment doesn’t recognize an “individual” right to keep and bear arms”

Yes it does and the US Supreme Court has reaffirmed that right.

“you want guns? You got guns.

    Own it, LP.”

The Libertarian party does accept the right of people to own and bear arms. They will not deny that right to anyone. However, the Libertarian Party also supports the right of the people to petition the government and to participate in the political process without threats made against them.

Now, were the PIs doing anything wrong by wearing their guns? No. The question is, did they know that their guns could be seen as intimidation and potentially threatening toward those who participated in a Constitutional and peaceful right? We have no idea. That is worth investigating though.

Despite all that, the whole petition challenge and this effort to get people to recant their signatures is completely messed up. This should not be allowed. If the signature is faulty in some way, fine, but leave people alone if they signed of their own free will.
