U.S. Senator Pat Roberts Attacks His Independent Opponent

On August 6, U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-Kansas) criticized Greg Orman, the well-funded independent candidate who is running against Roberts. See this story. Most of the time, major party nominees for Governor or U.S. Senator won’t even mention their independent and minor party opponents.

  1. Richard, you are correct that usually major party nominees ignore a 3rd party or an Independent candidate. But this Independent is well-funded and despite his liberal leanings, some of the Tea Party supporters may vote for him for spite. If they do, this could take enough conservative votes away from Roberts to allow his Democratic opponent to win. It will be an interesting election.

  2. Abolish the ANTI-Democracy minority rule USA gerrymander Senate with its many blowhard Senator HACKS from the many below average States.

Having the Senate got about 750,000 folks KILLED in 1861-1865 — due to the EVIL conspiracy from Hell of the small States and the slave States hacks in the top secret 1787 Federal Convention — and the cave in by the larger States.

Meant nothing to the EVIL robot party hacks during and after the horrific Civil War.
