Vermont Progressive Wins Democratic Nomination via Write-ins in Primary

Vermont held primaries on September 2. Dean Corren, the Progressive nominee for Lieutenant Governor, won the Democratic nomination as well, via write-ins in the Democratic primary. He will be on the November ballot as, “Progressive, Democratic.” See this story, which reveals that in the Republican gubernatorial primary, the Libertarian nominee for Governor received 13% of the Republican vote on write-ins.

I send my congratulations to Dean Corren on his win of the Democratic Primary via the write-in process. This is something that should be allowed in every state. I know that Mr. Corren and I might not agree on alot of things philosophically, but we do agree that the right to the ballot should not be denied to anyone regardless of color, creed, or conscience.
