Portland Mercury Opposes Oregon Top-Two Ballot Measure — 4 Comments

  1. Congratulations to the Portland Mercury for taking the correct position on this issue.

Don’t know if the newspaper is known for a liberal slant or not, but if it is, this is one time it is correct.

  2. Top-Two appears to have had good effects in California in uniting people for better reforms.

Thanks to Top-Two, the many candidates and voters of the new national Unity Coalition, have been able to find more interest from team players in a plan to work together for solutions for the good of the all and to work as a team.

In 2010, before Top-Two, it was more difficult to identify good team players among the two major parties who were interested in coalition building and instead only third party candidates were open to hearing about a unifying voting system called pure proportional representation.

Now in 2014, because of the increased interest in coalition building by D and R candidates, the California Super-state Parliament was able to attract 29 candidates for State and Federal office who were somewhat open to the idea.

And before the 2014 California Top-Two primary, more third party and independents than ever had become interested in pure proportional representation (PR), many of them are still working as part of the team and are bringing specials skills to the team too.

It seems like those opposed to Top-Two simply don’t like any effort to make improvements and don’t have any interest or capacity for team psychology.

A movement for a voting system which enables voters to unite, interact, communicate and work as a team has benefited from Top-Two.

  3. New Guidelines Proposed for 9th USA Parliament

The 9th USA Parliament’s MPs have proposed 138 new guidelines and the blank eballot and marked eballots are linked to the main URL for “USA National MPs’ Voting Records” in the left navigation bar, the 11th item.

With three MPs having voted, and the majority coalition stands at six MPs, we need two more MPs to vote on these guidelines (and MP Doyle and myself will simultaneously remove our #2 tic for the old rules) and we’ll have approved the new guidelines.

If anyone wants to be a part of the new majority coalition, they may vote for free now, provided they were elected as a MP in 2012 or else they can become a “Donor MP” for less than $5. and then vote.

Please feel free to contact us should you need more information, etc.

  4. Mr. Ogle, you should pay Richard Winger something for all the advertising of your fake parliament that he allows you to post on the Ballot Access News website!
