News Story on Byzantine Methods Used to Cause Republicans Not to File in Special California State Senate Race

This Antioch Herald story describes how three Republican candidates for State Senate in the upcoming California State Senate 7 special election were tricked into not filing for office. Business interests supporting one particular Democrat were keen to prevent any Republican from filing, because they believed that with no Republican in the race, the Republican voters would be likely to vote for one particular Democrat.

In the end, one Republican is on the ballot, but she has asked voters not to vote for her.

  1. Depend on how many White Republican voters live in this district, and how many Black Democratic voters live in this district. Voter, for decades have been brainwashed to vote on one or the other of these parties, and don’t have the slightest idea of who the candidate are.

Jesus Christ could file for one party and Lucifer could qualify for the other, and with no other candidates and no write-ins be counted, you’d be surprise as do how many votes would be cast for Lucifer. In fact, it wouldn’t surprise me if he got over 50% of the vote, as I have detected more and more, that many bloggers and repliers are atheists and God-haters. You can tell it by the vitriol in their words.

  2. This horrifying article should be sufficient to prove that “Top 2” needs to be abolished.

  3. It’s the members of the “Third House” that really favor and sustain top-two. It will require a anti-top two candidacy to make the case for a better format.

Top-two fuses the two major parties into the dominant third house versus scattered independents.

Top-two is anti-choice with all its thrust on keeping candidacies off the ballot, not only for the general but the primary as well.

  4. Larry is correct. This Top Two really changes the political landscape. Good candidates get talked our of running for the good of the Hive.

  5. 1. Candidate/incumbent rank order lists for legislator replacements — NO special elections.

    2. Ballot accwss has been a WAR action since SCOTUS in 1968 – Williams v. Rhodes.

3.Lots of LIES in WAR times — by the usual suspects especially — i.e. ENEMIES of Democracy.

  6. Do you believe a state senator who resigns because they were indicted for gun running should get to choose their replacemen? What about one who resigns to become a lobbyist for Chevron?
